GAMING TIPS |
| Mastering the
Handbrake |
| The handbrake is a cool new feature in Midtown Madness 2 and make
sure you use it. You can lose cops easily or you can make a reverse
180. You can also make better turns with high speed, which will give
you a step ahead towards the finishline. |
| Reverse-180 |
| The reverse 180 isn't difficult to do and it also looks great.
Put your gear in reverse and drive backwards. When you're on topspeed,
drive to the left/right and hold the handbrake till you're reversed.
Not every car will do a perfect reverse 180, the Panoz GTR-1 isn't
the right car to use for this trick. The Audi TT and Aston Martin
are the easiest to use. Done and enjoy! |
| Volkswagen New
Beetle RSi |
| The New Beetle RSi is a great car for circuit racing. It's fast,
makes smooth and fast turns. The best part is the game let's you unlock
the New Beetle RSi very early in the gameprogress. Only there's one
disadvantage of the New Beetle RSi, don't hit the curbs. 8 out of
10 times the car will hit the curb and stands still. So what are you
waiting for? Go unlock the New Beetle RSi. |
| Losing your
Tail |
Again some nasty cops chasing you? You can do three things to lose
the cops.
1. Squeezing through traffic cars works great. The cops end up kissing
the bumper of a traffic car.
2. Jump some bridges or if you got the Bus or Firetruck, give them
a hard time to remember.
3. When the cops drive next to you, drive a little to the left towards
that wall...crash! |
| Opponents |
| You love them, but do they love you? Nah, take some distance from
your opponent in corners, at straights you will whop his ass. Also,
put some obstacles on the road. Hit a streetlight, hit traffic cars
and they will stop or make sudden moves when chasing your opponents. |
| Blitz / Checkpoint
Races |
| Take your time and practice a little in Cruise mode, find the shortcuts
and decide what's the best car to use. After that, put the pedal to
the metal. |
| Circuit Races
|
| Circuit Races are easy, there's actually no need to practice them.
Follow a fast car and before you finish, whop his ass again. |
| Panning your
Camera |
| Pressing the V key activates the Camera, you can make some cool
screenshots with it. Control the camera by pressing the Insert, Home,
Page Up, Page Down, Delete and Shift key for turning. |
