CRASH COURSE GUIDE |
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE DRIVING SCHOOL |
| #1
Frequent Flyer |
| Frequent Flyer is very easy,
sit back and line up right with the ramp. |
| #2
Hot or Miss? |
| Don't drive to fast, take your
time. Take the corners easy and if you're really take your time then
you will have about 2 seconds left. |
| #3
Turn it Up! |
| This one is a little bit hard
to do, because now there's a minimum speed. Now, although there is
a minimum speed, drive slow. I would say around 70 mph and take the
corners from the outside to the inside to the outside again. Like
the pro's :) |
| SF
Midterm 1 |
| People who played the Beta already
say Midterm 1 is the most difficult mission, because of one row of
checkpoints. Those checkpoints under the highwayexit are a real pain
in the ass. You need to drive pretty fast in the first section if
you want to take enough time for the last section. There's only one
good tip, practice and practice alot. Good luck and unlock the Angel
Studios skin for the VW New Beetle RSi. |
| #4
Brake Dancing |
| This is just a lesson actually.
Use the handbrake to make a 180 and then head to the other checkpoint.
You can make a powerslide by pressing the spacebar (default). |
| #5
The Heat is On |
| Lose the cops before you cross
the finishline. Make some obstacles for the cops, like pushing a trafficcar
and it will stop. Squeez through the traffic, hit some trafficlights
and use many shortcuts. Only then the cops will lose you and only
then you can finish this mission. If they're still behind you when
you are getting near the finishline and you got some 30 seconds left.
Then driver a couple of times through the tunnel and over it heading
back to the finishline. Or drive under the Golden gate Bridge some
times and back again to the finish line. Just drive like you should
never drive in real life. |
| #6
Bonnie & Collide |
At the beginning of the test,
ram the F-350 directly and then turn around and chase him towards
the tunnel. Right before the tunnel entrance, do a hard left turn
into the front of the F-350 and force him into the concrete barrier.
This will do a lot of damage to him (he'll be smokin' white at this
time). It's very hard to get the timing right. After this damage,
either hit the backend of the truck constantly or hit the front and
force him into a couple of building corners at intersections on straight-aways.

Midterm 2 |
| This one is easy compared to
Bonnie & Collide. Just do the same thing as you do in Bonnie &
Collide, you got a big open area now. So you can now line up nice
and hit the F-350 in his side with full speed. After you have the
destroyed the F-350, drive down the big road so you will end up on
the road leading right to the checkpoint. If you do this you will
get two police cruisers after you. And for finishing this Midterm
correct you need to lose the tail. Drive into The Hyatt and the drive
towars the left of the church, you will lose the tale and got enough
time to drive through the checkpoint. Congrats with your new Double
Decker Bus custom paintjob! |
| #7
Keep it Clean |
| This one is as easy as the first
SF Crashcourse mission. Nothing to tell about this one, just full
speed ahead! |
| #8
About Face |
| You need to drive backwards
and make a reverse 180. With Midtown Madness 2 the reverse 180 is
slightly different than in NFS. Drive backwards, steer to the left/right
and hold the handbrake and left/right arrowkey till you turned correct.
Then all you need to do is drive through the checkpoints. I managed
to get this one done with 0:57 seconds left. |
| #9
Straight, With Chaser |
| Also a piece of cake, don't
drive full speed. Drive slow, but just fast enough to follow the car.
The Mustang Fastback always takes perfect corners while you can take
a shortcut over the grass. This one should be finished the first time
you try it. Otherwise, try to read those driving lessons again? |
| SF
Midterm 3 |
| As the announcer says it at
the start of the mission. We taught you three skills. First you need
to make a reverse 180, second follow that car and third, don't scratch
your paint! Just combine the tips #7, #8 and #9 above this one. Good
luck and try to unlock the custom paintjob for the Mustang Fastback.

Final Exam |
| This Final Exam is just one
hard mission to do. You need to combine everything you learned in
your career as a San Francisco Stuntdriver. I can only say one thing,
find the right line, practice a lot and don't drive to fast, but also
not to slow. If you really can't finish the whole San Francisco Crashcourse
then you might want to check our downloads
section for a savegame. |
EAST END CAB COMPANY SCHOOL |
| #1
London Leap |
| London Leap is just a warm-up
mission. The only tip there is, line up right with the Tower bridge.
|
| #2
Cutting Corners |
| The London Cab can handle very
bad some times, especially when taking corners with high speed. That's
why it's important to drive calm. Drive a couple of time to find out
our way and remembering it. After that it's pretty easy. |
| #3
The Weaver's Tale |
| Another warm-up mission. Try
to drive as straight as you can through the cars. You can hardly screw
this one up. |
| London
Midterm 1 |
| Use the skills we have taught
you in the San Francisco Crash Course section. Drive calm and drive
a couple of times. Use the map (TAB key) for navigating and you can
also zoom in by pressing the 'E' key. when you need to weave through
those threes, it doesn't mind when you hit one because you will drive
through it. One thing though, drive fast. |
| #4
The Knowledge |
| With this mission the announcer
will tell you where to go. Now, you don't need to know every landmark
in London for this, Angel Studios invented a nice little map which
tells you where the next checkpoint is. |
| #5
Round You'll Go |
| Same tip as the mission before
this one. Use the map good and you will finish easy. Don't worry about
those traffic cars, you won't even see them. |
| #6
Follow That Car! |
| Easy to do, keep some distance
from the other cabbie and drive relaxed. |
| London
Midterm 2 |
| First you will need to get as
fast as you can to the next checkpoint. From there you will need to
follow a car. Well, if you managed to pass mission 6, then this one
is easy. |
| #7
Give Me a Brake! |
| Make a reverse 180 not when
you cross the main road. Make the reverse 180 at that little piece
of crash you see when the camera just moves to the front of the car.
You will have a higher topspeed when crossing the finishline. |
| #8
River Dancing |
| This Crash Course Lesson involves
precision jumping, not long jumping. You don't need to drive topspeed
to make the boat. At first, learn where the boats are and at your
second try it's easy. As long as you jump the right way ofcourse.
|
| #9
Artfull Dodging |
| Again an easy mission. You don't
need to lose the tail, you can finish this mission by finishing in
time. Just the pedal to the metal. Also, if you use the Disable Timer
cheat, you can have a fun "Destruction Derby" game. |
| London
Midterm 3 |
| Midterm 3 and the Final Exam
of the London Cabbie Crash Course are very hard to do. I never managed
to get passed these missions. So my only tip is, keep trying and remind
the route you will need to take. |
| London
Final Exam |
| Everything is easy, except for
jumping those boats. Keep trying and you just might be a little lucky.
